How to Use Fruit Zilla Shortfills

If you’ve only used disposables or pre-filled pods before, shortfills work slightly differently. Here’s exactly what you need to know to get your Fruit Zilla bottle ready to vape.

Each Fruit Zilla bottle contains 100ml of nicotine-free e-liquid in a 120ml bottle. That extra space is there for nic shots.

• To get approximately 3mg nicotine: add two 10ml nic shots, shake well, and vape as normal. Total volume becomes 120ml.
• To get approximately 1.5mg: add one nic shot instead.
• For nicotine-free vaping: the bottle is ready straight away – no mixing needed.

The label on each bottle includes a reminder of how many nic shots to add, which is a useful touch if you’re new to this format. Shake the bottle for 30 seconds after adding nic shots and leave it to settle for a few minutes before filling your tank.

Which Devices Work Best with Fruit Zilla

Fruit Zilla runs at 70/30 VG/PG. That ratio needs a device that can handle the thicker liquid properly. Here’s what works well and what to avoid.

Sub-Ohm Tanks and Kits

70/30 VG is well suited to sub-ohm tanks running coils between 0.15Ω and 0.4Ω. These coils wick quickly enough to handle the liquid’s viscosity and produce the kind of vapour output that makes the flavour really come through. If you’re already on a sub-ohm setup, Fruit Zilla will slot straight in without any adjustment.

Pod Kits with Mesh Coils

A mesh coil pod kit running at 0.2Ω to 0.4Ω will handle 70/30 VG well. The wider coil surface area in a mesh coil means better wicking and more even flavour delivery. Avoid very low-power pod kits designed for 50/50 liquids – the thicker VG won’t wick fast enough and you’ll get dry hits.

What to Avoid

MTL (mouth-to-lung) devices are designed for 50/50 or nic salt e-liquids. The narrower coils and lower wattage in most MTL kits can’t handle 70/30 VG properly, and you’ll likely find the flavour muted and the wicking sluggish. Stick to an RDL or DTL setup for this range.
