What Are Sub-Ohm Coils?

A sub-ohm coil is any coil with a resistance below 1.0 ohm. Lower resistance means more current flows through the coil, which generates more heat, more vapour and generally a more intense flavour hit. These coils are built for direct-to-lung vaping, where you inhale vapour straight into your lungs rather than holding it in your mouth first. Most sub-ohm coils you’ll find today are mesh coils, which use a strip of metal mesh rather than twisted resistance wire. The larger surface area heats liquid more evenly and faster than a traditional coil.
