About RDAs
RDA vape tanks (also known as rebuildable dripping atomisers) give you a more advanced and customisable way to vape. Specially designed for vapers who want to install their own coils and tanks rather than rely on the manufactured options, RDA tanks put the battery power back into your hands.
Instead of being fed from regular vape tanks, RDA vapes require you to add juice to the wicks and coils manually. The juice well compartment at the bottom of an RDA is smaller than a regular vape tank, allowing you to top up more frequently and keep your flavour rotation fresh.
Many vapers also choose rebuildable dripping tank atomisers over standardised vape tanks for a purer, more intense flavour and airflow. Because an RDA vape tank’s drip tip sits directly on top of the coils rather than alongside them, each pull can deliver a more direct to lung flavour and thicker vapour cloud.
We stock a broad range of RDA tanks that are just as diverse and high-grade as the more familiar pre-manufactured vape tanks.
Browsing through our extensive range of RDAs, you can spot pretty much all of your favourite brands and mods, including Suicide Mods, Hellvape, Thunderhead Creations, Vaperz Cloud, and Geekvape, all of which come in a range of creative colours and styles.
How to use RDA tanks with easeÂ
Understanding how to install an RDA vape tank is crucial for using it safely and effectively. In order to successfully install an RDA vape tank, you can follow these simple steps:
- Gather your supplies: You’ll need an RDA tank, an e-cigarette mod designed for sub ohm, mod batteries, Kanthal, pliers or strong tweezers, a wire cutter, organic cotton, scissors, a screwdriver, and your e-juice of choice.
- Clean your vape deck: Ensure there is no residual oil, juice, or dust on the deck.
- Generate a wrap count for coils: Find the required number of wraps for each coil relating to gauge, resistance, coil diameter, and Kanthal type.
- Build and place your coils into the RDA: Check they are positioned and screwed in tightly for optimal resistance and leakage prevention. Dual coils can be used. Trim off any excess leads.
- Place your organic cotton into the coil: Use a small piece that fits snugly before saturating it with e-liquid and allowing it to soak in for five minutes.
- Pop on your RDA cap: That’s it! Your RDA vape is complete.
It might seem like a bit of legwork, but once you have the tools on hand, assembling the tank is quick and simple. After going through the process once or twice, it shouldn’t take you longer than five minutes overall.

RDA stands for Rebuildable Atomiser, and
RTA stands for Rebuildable Tank Atomiser. RTAs are a subcategory of RDAs, and the main difference is that they require you to wet the wick and coil with e-liquid manually. In contrast, an RTA device has a tank that stores e-liquid that fulfils this purpose.
Are there downsides to vaping with an RDA tank?
If you aren’t good with tools or don’t want to have to refill your tank on a regular basis, RDA vapes can feel like an inconvenience. But it is ultimately a personal preference.
